Piet was affiliated with the former Faculty of Economics—now Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TiSEM)—from 1986 to 2014, serving as Professor of Administrative Information Systems. During his distinguished career, he also held the roles of Dean and, for many years, Head of the department. In addition, he was one of the founding fathers of the IMMIT program.

Piet will be remembered as a dedicated scholar, an inspiring teacher, and a respected leader who made a lasting impact on our community. Our thoughts are with his wife, children, and grandchildren. We wish them strength and comfort during this difficult time.
